How
Vodka is often served ice cold, and stored in the freezer. It can be useful and aesthetic to embed a bottle of vodka in ice if the bottle is to be presented in a formal situation to guests or otherwise kept outside of the freezer for any length of time. A bottle of vodka served in such a way is often referred to as vodka glacée, and can be used for shots as well as mixed drinks. Vodka that is served at this temperature will have a thicker, somewhat syrupy consistency. When served straight, it perfectly complements Russian caviar.
